Hello!
No doubt you already know WCBS flipped to NEWS on August 28, 1967. And little doubt that you have 880 in your blood! So we'd love to have you stop by during our OPEN HOUSE to help us celebrate our anniversary. It will be a very casual occasion .. a little nosh, a look at WCBS in 2007 and a chance to catch up with some friends.
The open house will run from 9 til 5 on August 28, 2007. We're at the CBS Broadcast Center now, as you likely know. 524 W. 57th Street (near 10th Ave)...8th floor.
You're encouraged to spread the word among other past employees from all departments of the radio station. This is not formal at all .. and just because someone isn't "invited" doesn't mean he or she is not welcome! COME ONE, COME ALL!
But we really must insist that you RSVP by August 22nd to Amy Oliver (contact info below). Because of the informal nature of the event and invitations, we don't know whether to expect 20 visitors or 100! So as you spread the word, please make sure to spread the RSVP requirement. We will need to arrange for passage through CBS security .. but more importantly, we want to make sure there's enough food, and that it's here at the right time!
Amy is our station operations administrator .. and she's arranging for breakfast in the morning, lunch midday and dinner later in the afternoon. So please make sure to RSVP to her with the information indicated below by AUG 22.
