Now that we no longer have the annual AHS picnic reunion, a group of us decided to get together for dinner at the Baja Grill in the Fox Chapel Yacht Club at least once a year. Since Gene & Laura Consolo were coming to Pittsburgh for a surprise party for Gene's brother's and cousin's 90th birthdays, we chose Monday, July 29th for this year's get-together.
As you can see from the photos, our attendance was fairly good for a Monday night. Bob Ferris & Sue headed to Pittsburgh from the annual air show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin which drew a crowd of 650,000. Since our dinner last year, Sue has gotten her license to fly, so she flew his plane part of their trip from Florida. Jim and Jan McRoberts were able to join us as part of a traveling itinerary with quite a few stops. They now live in the Pocano area.
Mary Lou (Kier) Cochran would have won the award, if we were giving one, for most grandchildren and great grandchildren.
If you want more news about the rest of the group, plan on coming next year when we schedule one. We are happy to combine several class years. Spread the word, the more, the merrier! It's nice to catch up with old friends!
