Dear Classmates of 55,

It is with great sadness that I must let all of you know that our dear friend, Gene Consolo, just lost his wife, Katie. Katie's funeral will be on Wednesday, January 20th [2010]. Katie had a 5 year battle with cancer and was extremely brave and uncomplaining throughout. 2010 would have been Gene and Katie's 50th anniversary. I know that many of you will want to give Gene support at this saddest of times in his life. Sympathy cards and notes and emails can be sent to his address in Rochester, Michigan.

Please request that the donation go to the University of Michigan Breast Care Center in memory of Katie Consolo and that Gene be notified. I am sorry to be giving you this sad news, but I know you would want to express your sympathy to Gene and his family.
